# Futures Market

**At FlexyTrade, we use FUTURES MARKET.**

**Futures Market** is like an auction-style marketplace where participants buy and sell commodities and futures contracts with the intention of executing them on a specified future date.

Futures contracts are standardized, which means you can speculate on commodities, securities, whatever - and lock in pricing now for delivery later down the line

You have the opportunity to participate in trading across the following markets:

1. CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade)
2. NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange)
3. CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange)
4. COMEX (Commodity Exchange, Inc.)

On these markets, you can trade contracts for things like agricultural commodities, energies like oil and gas, metals, indexes, and more.

One thing to keep in mind with futures is managing your contracts and keeping tabs on the rollover date, which you can refer to here: [![](https://www.cmegroup.com/content/dam/cmegroup/favicons/favicon-16x16.png?v=9BPW2r3Ogp)Equity Index Roll Dates](https://www.cmegroup.com/trading/equity-index/rolldates.html).

Remember that it is up to you to make the necessary adjustments in your chosen market before the rollover date. If you miss the specified date, which is the following Monday, you risk violating our trading policies.
